Hi, I'm Joe, founder of UpBeat School of Music

When I was younger, I had an amazing music teacher named Rick Eastman. Rick wasn't just a teacher, he became a mentor, an encourager, and someone I looked up to. He inspired me to study music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and that's what motivated me to start UpBeat Music School.

Before founding UpBeat, I directed a music school in London where I had the incredible opportunity to mentor groups and secure their performances at the renowned Glastonbury Festival. Our proudest achievement was hosting the youngest band ever to grace the Glastonbury stage.

I also had the chance to take my music to arenas and festivals all over the world. These experiences showed me how music can bring people together.

At UpBeat, we've created a place where learning music is not only fun but also inspiring. We bring that same mentorship and encouragement I received from Rick and my experiences in the music industry to every student who joins us.
